Beyoncé and Jay-Z release secret album, 'Love is Everything,' and it's pretty amazing
In case you haven’t heard, The Carters, a/k/a Beyoncé and Jay-Z, released an album, “Love is Everything,” without any warning on Saturday and the internet lost its ever-loving mind.
Their sly and oh-so secretive release was met with positive reviews and obvious excitement. Memes of “literally dying” and shock with a hand on heart was the blanket reaction. (Seriously though, what did we do to deserve such wonderful blessings?) While Jay-Z may be new to dropping secret albums, this is Beyoncé’s third successful secret album, following “Lemonade” in 2016 and “Beyoncé” in 2013.

The album is a sort of part two to the Jay-Z infidelity scandal. While “Lemonade” and “4:44” dealt with either of their personal struggles of the affair, “Love is Everything” explores the rapper’s unfaithfulness with a shared, two-sided approach. Communing in the frustration through bold lyricism and showing the struggle as a team as opposed to an individual struggle, it’s a refreshing take on a topic that can often times be polarized. While there have been many albums about breakups and cheating, few have explored the topic as a unified couple overcoming it.
Jay-Z and Beyoncé will be performing in Philadelphia on July 30 for their On the Run II Tour at Lincoln Financial Field, reunited and stronger than ever.
