The 60th Annual Grammy Awards took place last night at the Madison Square Garden in New York City.
This was the first time in 15 years that the awards ceremony had been held outside of Los Angeles, and celebrities were out in abundance.
British actor and comedian, James Corden, was host for the evening and was accompanied on stage by the likes of John Legend and Janelle Monae who handed out awards to the winners of the night.
When awards season began earlier this month with the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards, support of the Times Up movement – an initiative demanding an end to inequality, sexual harassment and misconduct in the entertainment industry, all of which have been revealed as rife in the entertainment industry – was marked with celebrities choosing to wear black, creating a strong statement on the red carpet.
For the Grammy Awards last night however, support for #TimesUp was marked with a long-stemmed white rose pin, in a further stand against sexual harassment and inequality. The white rose was chosen as it historically ‘stands for hope, peace sympathy and resistance.’
Several guests including Lady Gaga, James Corden, Rita Ora and Miley Cyrus opted to wear a white rose pin, either on their outfits, round their wrists or just in their hands.
Among the winners at last nights awards was singer, Bruno Mars, who scooped five Grammys including Best Album of The Year and Best Record Of The Year, and singer, Rihanna, who won Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for her track, Loyalty, with rapper Kendrick Lamar.
